What Separates a Good SharePoint Resume from a Bad Resume?

Ask a Recruiter Question:
What separates a good SharePoint resume from a bad resume? I have the skills and have worked on several SharePoint projects but of course, am not a professional resume writer. What are the “ingredients” and key sections that make up a resume that is consistently called for more hiring interest?

Vanessa Raath of It’s About People Discusses SharePoint Hiring Best Practices

Vanessa Writes:

A good Resume, or Curriculum Vitae, as we call it in Africa, always has a decent Skills Matrix on it. The Keys things that we look for on your CV are the following:

·         Do your dates run in a chronological order? Are there any Gaps in your CV?

·         Have you listed the name of the company and your position for each job?

·         Do you have all of your Duties listed under each role?

·         Do you have a good reason for leaving at the end of each job?

·         Have you indicated which jobs were permanent and which were contract only?
