BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:
Primary focus is to apply Microsoft .Net services, capabilities and features to solve business problems using in place technology. This position will be responsible for design, development, integration, and management of processes to deliver custom and standard SharePoint 2007/2010/.Net applications to federal customers.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION – Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Implementing SharePoint 2007/2010/.Net solutions that are high quality, scalable and extendable
  • Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.
  • Design and implement development workflows
  • Coding, testing and implementing .Net solutions in a SharePoint 2007/2010 environment.
  • Taking directions from management in implementing solutions.
  • Unit testing for all assigned deliverables.
  • Will work from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration.
  • Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement. Architect, design, customize, and implement SharePoint 2010 solutions using best practices.
  • Supporting implementation of SharePoint-based workflows.
  • Microsoft .Net development to extend and augment the SharePoint 2007/2010 platform.
  • Development of custom web parts.
  • Design and development of Business Intelligence dashboards.
  • Apply capabilities of the SharePoint 2007/2010 product to enhance client efficiency.
  • Maintain standardized site templates to include branding and user-experience enhancement (may design variations when required).
  • Perform support duties for SharePoint 2007/2010/.Net related service desk tickets with proactive issue management and problem solving.
  • Works with Project Managers and business leaders to analyze business processes.
  • Work with team members to plan, develop and execute SharePoint 2010/.Net projects and report on the status of projects.
  • Participate in customer meetings to elicit and document service requirements.
  • Train customers on how to use SharePoint 2010 sites.

 

 

Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of relevant work experience or equivalent relevant work experience. 

  • Possess technical consulting experience or as an architect/programmer, with experience in .Net 3.x, SharePoint 2007/2010, SQL 2005/2008.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions
  • Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and .Net capabilities, business process analysis, web design, and project management and the software development life-cycle
  • Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.
  • Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions.
  • Experience with ASP.Net Development.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining REST services, Web services and multi-threading libraries and applications.
  • Experience of building and maintaining application using object oriented methodology.
  • Workflow development knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of the .Net framework , Software Development Lifecycle, C#, Visual Studio 2010, ASP.Net  3.0 or greater and associated technologies.
  • Working knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, and XSLT.
  • Experience with SharePoint Server 2010, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), and Microsoft Office Development.
  • Good fundamental and hands on knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint 2010 installation, configuration and the Central Administration     
  • Managing Navigation, Governance, Managed Metadata, Term Store, Records Store and New ECM Capabilities of SharePoint 2010
  • Integrating PerformancePoint Services, Office 2010 Clients, Business Connectivity Services /BDC and Business Intelligence/Dashboards with LOB applications
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical people to successfully complete work assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
