Loyola University in Baltimore county is seeking a SharePoint Administrator with Web Development background. The ideal candidate will have a solid configuration management background on the SharePoint platform and also understand Object Oriented Programming and customization of SharePoint team and publishing sites.

Position Summary and Duties

The Web Developer is responsible for the development and programming of web-based applications and sites based on Microsoft technologies for the University’s web sites. The position will focus primarily on Microsoft SharePoint and Ellucian’s ActiveCampus portal which powers the Inside Loyola portal. Development duties include ActiveCampus portal installations and configurations, and custom SharePoint Web Parts, site definitions/templates, and workflows. Day-to-day SharePoint administrative duties will overlap with development work. Development duties also include customizing the web front-end of Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as creating and maintaining workflows in Microsoft Dynamics. This position will also assist in providing technical support for these systems, and other duties as determined by the Associate Director of Web Development
The Web Developer will use analysis, creative solution engineering, and problem solving to contribute to Loyola’s ever-evolving Web presence. He or she will interface with clients and will participate in the design, development, and implementation of initiatives that support Loyola University’s departments, organizations, constituents, and strategic goals and mission.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills.
• ASP.NET programming, preferably using C#.
• Must have experience developing with Microsoft SQL 2008 or higher.
• Technical knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Web architectures.
• 1 + years experience working with XML and XSLT.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in collaborative team environments, or independently.
• Must be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to gather requirements to create a design, as well as using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions or approaches to problems.
• Ability to adhere to standards for Web framework, documentation, performance, and coding with version control.
• Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institution-wide diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience using Ellucian’s Colleague and related web technologies
• Experience developing for SharePoint 2010+.
• Deployment of SharePoint Web sites.
• Customization of SharePoint environments, including custom Web parts and configuration.
• Integration of SharePoint with other systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics in an administrative role.
• Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies a plus.
